Give your nieces and nephews cash for college
For years, my husband and I have given our nieces and nephews (and now great nieces and great nephews) money for their college funds for Christmas. They all receive more than enough presents from other people that they didn’t miss one more, and they appreciated the money when it was time to go to college. (Even if it only covers the costs of one textbook, that’s one fewer textbook they had to buy.)
Holiday shopping is a drag, and we all have too much stuff. A cashmere sweater is no longer luxuries, but being able to pay for college is.
That’s it. That’s the post for today.
This is what I'm doing with my great nieces/nephews, once they start reaching the tween years, when it gets harder to buy for them, anyway. I also include a book, so they have something to unwrap and because books are good!
