I just had my annual physical. My doctor said he could prescribe me a drug to lower my blood pressure or I could just stop having a drink every day. He recommended drinking no alcohol beer on a typical night and save real beer for Sat night or other special occasions (if I still felt like it). So that's what I am doing. There are definitely more N/A beer options now and I plan on enjoying trying many of them.
Damn. I've cut back on drinking and had really hoped it'd help me lose a gew pounds. I love the straight forward way you addressed that, tho, and put it into perspective!
Since the beginning of the year I've been not drinking alcohol, but enjoying a lot of other beverages! Can you tell me about Chicago's sober bars / liquor stores? Thanks!

Good for you Annie, and enjoyed learning about the resources

Two that I know of are In Good Spirits on Ashland (https://www.ingoodspirits.online/) and Benediction in Humboldt Park (https://bendicionbar.com/).
