That show was so dang good that I'm gonna write about Bruce twice. I love that we have this in common and 100% Rosalita is a total vibe that you can carry around all day!
For me. Rosalita is the evil opposite of a hype up song, unless you are getting hyped up to change the channel, turn on a different sing, or turn the music off entirely. My antipathy stems from a college experience, several drunken college women playing the song on repeat at a party, while jumping in the air at strategic moments. I just wanted to go to sleep, and was not interested in jumping a little higher, or for that matter jumping at all.
I would go with Hang on To Yourself - Bowie. Other suggestions in previous comments are also fine choices.
Love the idea of a hype song. Now, to choose one....
Mister Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra
On second thought, ELO is for crawling out of a bad mood. For hype, I like New Attitude by Patti LaBelle. I’m old.
My college hype song, “In Between Days” by The Cure. My middle-aged choice, “Blankest Year,” by Nada Surf. 🙂

I agree that “Rosalita” is an excellent choice. My hype song? “Lust for Life” by Iggy Pop.

This story is not true because you didn't go to college with me and Jocelyn.
